This month the Wall Street Journal launched a new homepage for MarketWatch that is “100% powered by user-generated content.” It is an interactive hub for posting, reading, sharing and commenting on business and investing news and engaging with other enthusiasts. There’s even a fantasy stock exchange featured on the site for users to buy and trade stocks and compete against other community members. |

It is an interesting move for the WSJ to integrate social media communications and media into its lineup.
I wonder if you think WSJ’s recent sale to MySpace owner Newscorp influenced its sudden move to launch this consumer-powered network? |
